Introducing the Beta!

Today is the day!

LexasCMS has been quietly in development for a long time. Starting around 6 years ago as an internal project to streamline our development workflow and scratch our own content management itch, it eventually matured into something we simply couldn’t live without.

We’re super excited to announce the release of the LexasCMS beta, and we really hope that you like it! The beta is freely available to download and use for the duration of the beta period, with any websites developed using it being granted a single free license key (worth $299.00) after general release.

So whats the big deal?

Productivity. Setting up a local development environment is a thing of the past. LexasCMS’ command line tool, LexasCLI, enables you to get up and running with a new project in a matter of seconds.

Flexible content structure. Gone are the days of moulding your content into a structure that satisfies your CMS. Your CMS should fit around your content, not the other way around.

Bring your own design. Fits seamlessly into your websites design, providing you with total control of the look and feel of your users experience. Just the way it should be!

Powerful routing. An expressive routing configuration layer provides the ability to load content and/or templates without writing a single line of code.

Pluggable architecture. From template helpers and content types, all the way through to custom file system drivers and exception handlers. Almost every part of LexasCMS is designed to be extended.

We truly hope that you find LexasCMS useful and that it brings as many benefits to your workflow as it has to ours. We can’t wait to hear what you think about it and urge everyone to provide feedback so that we can make LexasCMS even more awesome!

The easiest way to get started is to create an account, then follow the instructions from within your control panel. Otherwise, feel free to head over to our guides to get an in-depth look into the benefits that LexasCMS provides.

If you have any questions, need help, or would like to provide feedback, you can get in touch using one of the various methods on the support page.
